Privacy Policy

This is a translation of the Dutch original. If the two texts differ, the Dutch text prevails.

PerfectWelding processes personal data when you use our webshop. Below you can read which data this involves, why we need it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

We do not have a data protection officer (functionaris voor gegevensbescherming); this is not mandatory for a business of our size. If you have questions about your data, please use the email address above.

When you place an order

We process your name, email address, delivery address, billing address and (optionally) your telephone number and VAT number. This is necessary to perform the agreement: to deliver your order, keep you informed and issue a correct invoice.

We keep your order data for 7 years. This follows from the statutory tax retention obligation (fiscale bewaarplicht, Article 52 of the General Act on State Taxes (Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen)). Data that does not belong on the invoice is deleted earlier.

Payment data

We do not receive or store credit card numbers, bank account numbers or your online banking login details. You enter these with the payment service provider itself; we only receive confirmation of whether the payment was successful.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland). Depending on what is available to you, you can pay with iDEAL, Bancontact, credit card, Apple Pay or another method offered by Stripe. Stripe is itself the controller (verwerkingsverantwoordelijke) for what you enter with them and has its own privacy policy.

When you use the contact form

We process your name, email address, subject and message in order to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions. We keep these messages for 12 months and delete them afterwards.

When you sign up for our mailing list

On our site you can leave your email address to stay informed. We then process only that email address, on the basis of your consent.

At present we do not yet send a newsletter and we do not use an external mailing service: the addresses are stored solely on our own website and are shared with no one. If we do start sending, we will amend this policy and state which service we use for this.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.

When you log in to My account

You do not need a password or an account to place an order. If you want to view your orders again, you enter your email address and we send you a one-time login link. We use your email address for this and show the orders that were placed with it. No password is stored.

Cookies

Necessary cookies: required to make the webshop work. No consent is required for these.

• pw_sess: links your shopping cart and any login to your session (until you close the browser). We also use this session to keep track anonymously of which pages and steps (for example "in shopping cart") visitors go through. We do not store an IP address, name or email address in doing so and we share nothing with third parties; it serves only to improve the webshop.

• pw_language: remembers whether you view the site in Dutch or English (1 year)

Cookies from the payment service provider: Stripe places cookies on the payment page to process payments and to detect fraud.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent): if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to measure anonymously which pages are viewed and which orders come in. Google then places cookies (_ga and _ga_*, maximum 2 years). We do not use advertising features and have no link with Google advertising. If you click "Decline", or do not respond, nothing is loaded from Google and no statistics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the website.

You can always delete or block cookies via your browser settings. If you disable necessary cookies, the shopping cart will no longer work.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for commercial purposes. We only share what is necessary with:

• Our hosting provider: which runs our website and database

• Delivery services: PostNL, DHL and DPD, who need your name and address to deliver your parcel

• Payment service providers: see above

• Our bookkeeping and the Tax Authority (Belastingdienst): insofar as we are legally obliged to do so

We conclude a data processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) with parties that process data on our behalf.

Transfers outside the EU. Your data is processed within the European Economic Area, unless stated otherwise above. Our fonts are hosted on our own server; no data is sent to Google Fonts.

Security

The connection to our website is encrypted (HTTPS), access to the administration environment is restricted, and we store passwords in encrypted form. Do you think something is going wrong with your data? Email us immediately.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. You can also object, receive your data in a commonly used format (data portability) and withdraw consent you have given.

Send your request to matthijsbrand@perfectwelding.nl. We respond within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask for your order number or for confirmation via the email address known to us.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We may amend this privacy policy. The date at the top indicates when the latest change was made.
