PW Gas lenses WP9/20

A gas lens distributes the shielding gas more evenly than a standard gas diffuser. The gas flow becomes calmer and more laminar, and you notice it straight away in the weld pool. You get better protection with less gas, and your weld stays cleaner. You can also let your electrode stick out further without losing gas coverage. That helps in tight corners and fillet welds, where a standard cup gets in the way.

These gas lenses are for WP9/20 torches. You choose two things:

• Your electrode diameter: 1.6, 2.4 or 3.2 mm. The gas lens must match the electrode and the collet you use.
• The version: threaded, for cups with a thread, or with a rubber ring (NQ). The latter is intended for glass cups without a thread. The ring clamps the cup in place.

The gas lens works together with a collet of the same diameter. You order that separately: see the PW collets. Do you have a WP17, WP18 or WP26 torch? Then you need a gas lens with the right thread, the PW Gas lens adapter 17GL.
